What is it?
The purpose of the U9 program is to develop basic skills and to teach the fundamentals of the game in an environment that is conducive to learning. Children are placed into teams by gender and age. Teams will train on Saturdays for about 75 minutes and will play games on Sundays. This provides an opportunity for players to get used to games with throw ins, corner kicks, referees, etc. in advance of programs such as Intercounty.
Saturdays training will be led by a professional trainer and supported by a parent volunteer while games on Sundays will be led by a parent volunteer.
