If you wish to be considered as a travel coach for the upcoming year please do complete the below coach application.

This will help us gather information on all interested members who are willing to volunteer their time. Filling out an application is no guarantee you are going to be asked to help out. The coach assignments are based on need. Filling out an application is also no guarantee that your son/daughter makes a travel team. 

If you have not coached in travel before, please do also note that everyone involved as a coach in travel needs to take part in a state coaching certificate course. The application has a link included with more information on this as well. This is a requirement set by NJ Youth Soccer, the governing body of youth soccer in NJ.

Lastly, we want to make sure our members enjoy their time in the travel program. Players (children) are more likely to stay with an activity when they enjoy the experience. The coaches involved play a huge role in this. Knowledge on the x's and o's is helpful, but it is even more important to be able to communicate effectively with children. A coach needs to be able to engage children; get them excited about playing soccer and help ensure they leave practice sessions and games with a smile on their face!
